When we are contacted by prospective clients some questions come up on a regular basis. So to help you out we've included the most common ones below, if you have any others we will of course be happy to answer them.
Q: Can we meet you before we book?
A: Absolutely! We are based in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex and are happy for you to visit us at home or to come to you to discuss your requirements and to show you some sample albums. If distance is an issue then we are happy to speak through Skype or over the phone. Visit our contact page to arrange a meeting or email me at email@example.com :)
Q: How long will you be there for on the day?
A: Our full day coverage is just that, we will be there from bridal/groom prep through to your first dance as long as this happens before 9pm.
Q: What does your fee include?
A: Our fee is designed to be straightforward and clear, we offer full day coverage for £650 or £800. The only difference with these is that for the small additional cost you also get a second photographer (my wife!) who will usually provide 150-250 extra photos as well as helping me out a lot on the day! With both packages you will get full day coverage of your wedding as described above and all of your photos returned to you on USB memory stick in a presentation box. You will have joint copyright to the pictures allowing you to share on social media, print and make your own products (e.g. albums) - although we do offer photobooks and prints if you would prefer a professional print standard. Our fee also includes travel within Essex, a small additional fee will be added for travel outside of Essex.
Q: Do you limit the amount of photos we get back?
A: No! We never limit the amount of photos that are returned to you and take many on the day. These are reviewed during editing and we return to you as many as we can - from a full day this averages between 400 - 600 photos, depending upon the number of guests and type of venue.
Q: Can you help us with timings?
A: As we have had the pleasure of photographing many weddings over the years, we are very experienced with many aspects of planning a wedding and of how to overcome difficulties that you may be facing. So if you have a question about timings (in general and related to having time for photographs) or any other concern about your day unrelated to photography please call or email and we will be happy to use our knowledge and experience to help.
Q: How experienced are you both?
A: Craig has been photographing weddings for 6 years and in that time has photographed over 30 weddings. This means that he is very experienced in both the technical aspects of photography but also in overcoming issues and problems on the day when timings sometimes go awry or the weather isn't quite what you hoped - there are always solutions and always a way to make sure you have some fantastic photos to look back on!
Cheryl has been second shooting with Craig for about 2 years and before this enjoyed other types of photography. She is great at getting candid shots of you and your guests and of obtaining a different perspective during the ceremony shots. She is also a great help to Craig with lighting and coordination of guests.
Q: What is your style / approach to wedding photography?
A: The best way to answer this question is to take a look at our wedding gallery, but to put it into words we like to think of our work as relaxed and creative, capturing the story and emotions of the day. Whilst we sometimes do employ some posing techniques for group and couple shots, these are very non-intrusive - we do not spend minutes pulling people into position as if they are models. We know that you and your guests are there to enjoy yourselves and want to capture this in the photographs.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes, we have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: We are happy to travel all over the UK, but the areas we work in most often are Essex, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Greater London, Hertfordshire and Hampshire.
